Meet Our Doctors
Michael W. Herndon, DDS
Dr. Herndon is the longest-practicing dentist in Quincy, CA. He began his career in dental implant surgery and restoration in 1983 after graduating with honors from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. While at the school, he was given the Gold Foil Award for Outstanding Achievement in Operative Dentistry for his precision in dental restorations. Dr. Herndon went on to complete a fellowship in implants, advanced periodontics, and periodontal prosthesis at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a certificate in Implant-Assisted Reconstructive Dentistry and the distinguished title Amsterdam Fellow.
His knowledge in a wide array of dental subjects is widely sought out, and Dr. Herndon has delivered lectures and training to other doctors at numerous universities and the San Francisco Academy of Advanced Clinical Dentistry. He has also authored online articles and been a featured speaker in a national webinar on Periodontal Prosthesis for the Institute of Dental Specialists.
In addition to his impressive dental career, Dr. Herndon is also a recording artist, multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter who has worked with legendary singers/songwriters Paul Anka, Merle Haggard and others.
Emily S. Luscri, DDS
A native of Plumas County, Dr. Luscri loves living in Quincy and helping the members of her community with their dental needs. She is excellent with children and knows how to ease their fears of being at the dentist.
Dr. Luscri graduated from Loma Linda University, like her father, before joining our practice in 2010. She is a world-traveler and has provided pediatric dentistry for underserved children in Bucharest, Romania, and adult dentistry in rural villages in central Guatemala.
She is a member of many prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Oral Medicine, American Headache Society, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Luscri lives in Quincy with her husband, dog and two cats and also has horses that are definitely part of the family. She loves the outdoors and, despite her world travels, she always knew that Plumas County was home.
